Product Details

Owners of the 2015-2021 Volkswagen Golf/GTI (AU) can fit the Whiteline Front Lower Outer Camber Adjustable Roll Center Correcting Performance Ball Joint Kit. It goes on the front of the vehicle. The kit contains 2 ball joints. Whiteline part number: KCA472.

The lower ball joint is the pivot between the control arm and the steering knuckle, and the wheel moves up and down and turns on it. When it wears, it develops play that shows up as clunks, wandering steering, and uneven tire wear. A new joint takes up that slack. The camber adjustability in the name means the joint lets an alignment shop move the camber setting, which a standard joint cannot. The roll center correcting design is aimed at lowered cars, where the stock geometry no longer sits in range.

Whiteline rates the install as moderate and lists about 2 hours. An alignment is required after installation. Application note: Reduces roll/bump steer: essential for lowered cars. Brake rotor clearance is reduced: attention required when fitting with brake upgrades. To go with it on the Golf/GTI, see Adjustable Rear Sway Bar Link, Adjustable Front Sway Bar Link, and Front Control Arm Lower Inner Front Bushing.
