This Whiteline Rear Rearward Outer Control Arm Bushing Kit fits the 2009-2011 Subaru Outback. It goes on the rear of the vehicle. Part number W63610. Included: 4 bushings and 2 tubes.
A control arm bushing is the pivot where the arm joins the chassis or the wheel carrier. Factory rubber is chosen for quiet and comfort, so it squashes under braking, acceleration, and cornering and lets the arm move more than it should. A firmer replacement keeps the arm where it belongs, which steadies the alignment and gives the car a more consistent feel. Polyurethane resists deflection far better than the soft rubber it replaces.
