Product Details
This Whiteline Front Lower Inner Control Arm Rear Bushing Kit fits the 2009-2014 Honda Fit. Placement: front. The chassis code on the listing is GE. Order it as part number KCA579. Included: 2 bushings.
A control arm bushing is the pivot where the arm joins the chassis or the wheel carrier. Factory rubber is chosen for quiet and comfort, so it squashes under braking, acceleration, and cornering and lets the arm move more than it should. A firmer replacement keeps the arm where it belongs, which steadies the alignment and gives the car a more consistent feel. The polyurethane used here deflects much less than the original rubber under the same load.
Expect a difficult job of about 2 hours. Plan on a wheel alignment afterward. To go with it on the Honda Fit, see 14mm Adjustable Front Camber Bolts, Adjustable Front Sway Bar Link, and Rear Beam Axle Pivot Bushing Kit.
Features
- Install guide: Whiteline packs an install guide with it.
- Bushing compound: Oil, grease, ozone, and weather do not break down the synthetic elastomer used in the bushings.
- Self-lubricating: The bushing carries its own grease supply in internal reservoirs, so it keeps moving freely.
- Material: Polyurethane construction.
