Fitted to the 1976-1983 Jeep CJ5: the Whiteline Rear Leaf Spring and Shackle Bushing Kit. Whiteline part number: W72315. It goes on the rear of the vehicle. In the box: 12 bushings. Chassis code: CJ. Application note: Suits some Models.
Leaf spring bushings do a lot of work: the spring flexes and changes length as it moves, and the eye and shackle pivots absorb it. Replacing worn ones puts the axle back where it belongs. The polyurethane used here deflects much less than the original rubber under the same load.
