Product Details
This Whiteline Heavy Duty Blade Adjustable 26mm Front Sway Bar fits the 2015-2019 Volkswagen Golf R. You receive 1 sway bar, 2 bushings, 2 saddles, 2 lateral locks, 2 mounts, 4 bolts, and 4 nuts. Whiteline's note for this fit: 4MOTION version only. 2 point adjustable. Whiteline part number: BWF22Z. The chassis code on the listing is MQB. It goes on the front of the vehicle.
A sway bar is a torsion spring that links the left and right wheels. When the body leans, the bar twists and resists, which keeps the car flatter and spreads load more evenly across the tires. In general, a stiffer front bar reduces roll and helps the nose stay planted, with a tendency toward understeer if it is overdone. The bar is adjustable, so the stiffness can be changed to suit the car and the road.
Expect a moderate job of about 2 hours. Get the car aligned once it is back on the ground. Working on the same car? We also list Adjustable Rear Sway Bar Link, Adjustable Front Sway Bar Link, and Front and Rear Sway Bar Kit for the Golf R.
Features
- Bushing material: Polyurethane is firmer than the factory rubber, so it deflects less under load.
- Hardware: The kit includes mounting brackets.
- Install guide: Step-by-step installation instructions come with it.
- Bushing compound: A synthetic elastomer compound resists oil, grease, ozone, and weathering.
- Self-lubricating: Grease reservoirs inside the bushing feed lubrication as it moves.
