Product Details
This Whiteline Front Steering Rack And Pinion Mount Bushing fits the 2011-2015 Subaru WRX STI Limited (GR/GV/VA). This part is for the front of the vehicle. You receive 6 bushings, 2 tubes, and removal tool. Application note: Includes installation tool. Order it as part number KSR207. Trim named on the listing: Limited. The chassis code on the listing is GR/GV.
The steering rack is held to the chassis by bushings, and every input you make at the wheel passes through them. Rubber ones soften with age and can be degraded further by oil leaks, so the rack is allowed to shift under load and the steering feels less precise. A firmer rack mount bushing reduces that movement.
Installation is rated moderate, with about 2 hours of work listed. An alignment is required after installation. To go with it on the WRX STI, see Adjustable Rear Sway Bar Link, 14mm Adjustable Front Camber Bolts, and Rear Subframe Mount Bushing.
Features
- Install guide: Written install instructions are included with the part.
- Self-lubricating: Internal grease reservoirs keep the bushing lubricated as it works.
- Grease: Molybdenum disulfide grease comes with it for a longer service life.
- Finish: Powder coating covers the metal for protection against chips and rust.
- Bushing material: Made of polyurethane, which resists deflection better than soft rubber.
- Bushing compound: Oil, grease, ozone, and weather do not break down the synthetic elastomer used in the bushings.
