Product Details

Whiteline built the Front Engine Mount for the 2008 Volkswagen Jetta S, SE, SEL (1K). Order it as part number KDT968. In the box: 1 insert bushing, 2 washers, an install guide, and grease. Application note: Inserts: check voiding of OEM bushings first, installs into voiding of original bushings. It goes on the front of the vehicle. Trims named on the listing: S, SE, and SEL.

An engine moves on its mounts every time the throttle opens or closes. The less it can move, the more directly the power goes to the wheels and the less strain the hoses, wiring, and driveline take. A fresh mount cuts that movement. The polyurethane used here deflects much less than the original rubber under the same load.

Expect a moderate job of about 2 hours. It does not require a wheel alignment. Other Whiteline parts we list for the Jetta: Adjustable Rear Sway Bar Link, Adjustable Front Sway Bar Link, and Front and Rear Sway Bar Kit.

Features

  • Insert design: Designed to be used with the factory bushing left in place.

  • Grease: Moly grease is supplied to prolong the life of the parts.
  • Easy to fit: Installation does not call for special skills or tools.
  • Bushing material: The bushing material is polyurethane, a firmer choice than rubber.
