For the 1971-1985 Toyota Celica (A20/A40/A60), Whiteline makes the Upper Shock Absorber Bushing Kit. The kit contains 4 bushings. Order it as part number W21172.
The connection between the shock and the control arm or body is only as good as the bushing in it. Worn bushings add play, so a firmer replacement helps the shock do its work. The polyurethane used here deflects much less than the original rubber under the same load.
