Product Details
This Whiteline Transmission Mount Bushing Kit fits the 1977-1978 GMC K25 Suburban. The kit contains 4 bushings, 2 tubes, 2 plates, and an install guide. Part number W93470. Chassis code: C/K.
The transmission is held in the chassis by a mount that absorbs vibration. A soft or worn mount lets the gearbox rock when you shift or get on and off the throttle, which feels like a jerk, a clunk, or a delay. A firmer mount or bushing limits that motion. The polyurethane used here deflects much less than the original rubber under the same load.
Whiteline rates the install as moderate and lists about 1 hour. No alignment is needed afterward. To go with it on the K25 Suburban, see 15mm Front Sway Bar Bushing Kit.
Features
- Bushing compound: The elastomer formulation is chosen to shrug off oil, grease, ozone, and the elements.
- Bushing material: Made of polyurethane, which resists deflection better than soft rubber.
- Install guide: An install guide comes in the box.
- Easy to fit: Designed for an easy install with ordinary shop equipment.
- Self-lubricating: The bushing carries its own grease supply in internal reservoirs, so it keeps moving freely.
- Grease: Moly grease is supplied to prolong the life of the parts.
