Whiteline 20mm Rear Sway Bar Bushing Kit is made for the 1999 Subaru Legacy. Position: rear. You receive 2 bushings. The part number is W0404-20. The chassis code on the listing is BE/BH.
The sway bar sits in rubber bushings that let it rotate as it twists. When those bushings wear or compress, the bar slides and shifts in its mounts, which causes clunking and a slight delay before it begins to resist roll. Replacement bushings hold the bar in its proper place while still letting it turn.
