This Whiteline Rear Lower Inner Forward Control Arm Bushing Kit fits the 2006-2026 Volkswagen Golf/GTI. Application note: Fits U-channel arm/link at inner position. In the box: 2 shell bushings and 2 tubes. The part number is W63551. It goes on the rear of the vehicle.
A control arm bushing is the pivot where the arm joins the chassis or the wheel carrier. Factory rubber is chosen for quiet and comfort, so it squashes under braking, acceleration, and cornering and lets the arm move more than it should. A firmer replacement keeps the arm where it belongs, which steadies the alignment and gives the car a more consistent feel. Polyurethane resists deflection far better than the soft rubber it replaces.
