Differential bushings take the torque reaction every time the car accelerates. When the rubber is worn or soft, the case shifts and the driveline jerks, and wheel hop becomes more likely. Stiffer bushings or inserts limit that movement. The polyurethane used here deflects much less than the original rubber under the same load.
Installation is rated difficult, with about 3 hours of work listed. It does not require a wheel alignment.
