Fitted to the 1995-1999 BMW 318ti 3 Series (E36): the Whiteline Rear Differential Mount Bushing. Order it as part number KDT969. The kit contains 2 bushings, 2 tubes, an install guide, and grease. It goes on the rear of the vehicle.
The differential is hung from the chassis on bushings that are soft for comfort. Under hard acceleration and braking they let it rock, so power reaches the wheels a moment late and the rear end can feel loose. A firmer bushing holds the differential more steadily, which sharpens throttle response. Polyurethane resists deflection far better than the soft rubber it replaces.
