Whiteline Rear Differential Mount Bushing is made for the 1991-1997 BMW 318is 3 Series (E36). Whiteline part number: KDT969. Position: rear. Included: 2 bushings, 2 tubes, an install guide, and grease.
Holding the differential still is about predictability. Rubber that is too soft lets it twist and move as load comes on and off, so the car squats and lurches a little more than it needs to. A firmer mount keeps it where it should be. The polyurethane used here deflects much less than the original rubber under the same load.
