Product Details

This Whiteline Rear Control Arm Lower Rear Inner and Outer Bushing fits the 2009-2011 BMW 335d 3 Series. Included: 4 shell bushings and 4 tubes. It goes on the rear of the vehicle. Part number W63400. Whiteline's note for this fit: Fits front and rear positions of OEM arm 33-32-6-763-477.

A control arm bushing is the pivot where the arm joins the chassis or the wheel carrier. Factory rubber is chosen for quiet and comfort, so it squashes under braking, acceleration, and cornering and lets the arm move more than it should. A firmer replacement keeps the arm where it belongs, which steadies the alignment and gives the car a more consistent feel. Polyurethane resists deflection far better than the soft rubber it replaces.

Installation is rated moderate, with about 3 hours of work listed. An alignment is required after installation. To go with it on the 335d 3 Series, see Adjustable Front Sway Bar Link, Rear Subframe Mount Bushing, and Front and Rear Essential Vehicle Kit.

Features

  • Finish: The metal is powder coated, which resists corrosion and wear.
  • Bonded design: The bushing is bonded for extra strength under heavy loads.
  • Corrosion protection: Plated finish keeps rust off the hardware.
  • Bushing compound: A synthetic elastomer compound resists oil, grease, ozone, and weathering.
  • Material: Built from polyurethane.
  • Install guide: An install guide comes in the box.
