Product Details
This Whiteline Heavy Duty Blade Adjustable 20mm Rear Sway Bar fits the 2009-2011 Mini Cooper Clubman John Cooper Works. Whiteline's note for this fit: Suits R50/R52/R53 chassis. Trim named on the listing: John Cooper Works. Placement: rear. In the box: 1 sway bar and 2 bushings. Chassis code: R56. Part number BMR72Z.
The rear sway bar has a large say in how a car balances. Stiffening it limits roll at the back and brings the tail around more readily, which many drivers use to lessen understeer and sharpen response. The bar is adjustable, so the stiffness can be changed to suit the car and the road.
Installation is rated moderate, with about 1 hour of work listed. No alignment is needed afterward. To go with it on the Cooper Clubman, see Adjustable Rear Sway Bar Link, Front Strut Tower Brace Quick Release Kit, and Front Sway Bar Bushing Kit.
Features
- Self-lubricating: The bushing carries its own grease supply in internal reservoirs, so it keeps moving freely.
- Install guide: An install guide comes in the box.
- Bushing compound: The elastomer formulation is chosen to shrug off oil, grease, ozone, and the elements.
- Bar mounts: The mount bushings have a knurled bore and grease-holding lips.
- Bushing material: The bushing material is polyurethane, a firmer choice than rubber.
- Lateral locks: Lateral locks stop the bar sliding sideways under load.
