This Whiteline Front Upper Shock Absorber Bushing Kit fits the 1972-1979 Ford F-250. Application note: Suits gas shocks. The part number is W31487. Placement: front. Included: 4 bushings.
A shock absorber is mounted through bushings at its ends. When the rubber is worn, the shock can move or knock in its mount, and its damping force is not delivered cleanly to the suspension. New bushings keep the shock located. The polyurethane used here deflects much less than the original rubber under the same load.
