Product Details
This Whiteline Front Upper and Lower Control Arm Bushing Kit fits the 2007 Chevrolet Avalanche 4WD (GMT900). Whiteline part number: W56420. Placement: front. Included: 12 bushings, 6 tubes, and grease. Whiteline's note for this fit: Suits Torsion Bar Suspension Vehicles Only. This listing is for 4WD models.
A control arm bushing is the pivot where the arm joins the chassis or the wheel carrier. Factory rubber is chosen for quiet and comfort, so it squashes under braking, acceleration, and cornering and lets the arm move more than it should. A firmer replacement keeps the arm where it belongs, which steadies the alignment and gives the car a more consistent feel. The polyurethane used here deflects much less than the original rubber under the same load.
Expect a difficult job of about 2 hours. Plan on a wheel alignment afterward.
