This Whiteline Front Upper and Lower Control Arm Bushing Kit fits the 1999-2005 Chevrolet Silverado 1500 (GMT800). Application note: Suits Torsion Bar Suspension Vehicles Only. Chassis code: GMT800. The part number is W56420. You receive 12 bushings, 6 tubes, and grease. It goes on the front of the vehicle.
Every time the wheel moves, the control arm swings on its bushings. When they are soft or worn, the arm shifts under load, the alignment changes as the car moves, and steering and braking feel less precise. A stiffer bushing cuts that unwanted movement while still letting the arm pivot freely. Polyurethane resists deflection far better than the soft rubber it replaces.
