Product Details
This Whiteline Front Upper and Lower Control Arm Bushing Kit fits the 1975-1979 Buick Skylark. Order it as part number W56430. The kit contains 8 shell bushings, 8 tubes, and grease. Position: front.
Every time the wheel moves, the control arm swings on its bushings. When they are soft or worn, the arm shifts under load, the alignment changes as the car moves, and steering and braking feel less precise. A stiffer bushing cuts that unwanted movement while still letting the arm pivot freely. Polyurethane resists deflection far better than the soft rubber it replaces.
Whiteline rates the install as difficult and lists about 3 hours. Get the car aligned once it is back on the ground. Other Whiteline parts we list for the Skylark: Ball Joint Boot Kit and Transmission Mount Bushing Kit.
Features
- Easy to fit: Designed for an easy install with ordinary shop equipment.
- Self-lubricating: Grease reservoirs inside the bushing feed lubrication as it moves.
- Bushing material: Made of polyurethane, which resists deflection better than soft rubber.
- Bushing compound: Oil, grease, ozone, and weather do not break down the synthetic elastomer used in the bushings.
- Grease: Molybdenum disulfide grease is included to help the parts last.
- Install guide: Instructions for fitting are packed in the box.
