Product Details
This Whiteline Front Upper and Lower Control Arm Bushing Kit fits the 1974-1977 Chevrolet Monte Carlo. You receive 8 shell bushings, 8 tubes, and grease. The part number is W56430. Position: front. It is listed for the G-Body chassis.
A control arm bushing is the pivot where the arm joins the chassis or the wheel carrier. Factory rubber is chosen for quiet and comfort, so it squashes under braking, acceleration, and cornering and lets the arm move more than it should. A firmer replacement keeps the arm where it belongs, which steadies the alignment and gives the car a more consistent feel. The polyurethane used here deflects much less than the original rubber under the same load.
Whiteline rates the install as difficult and lists about 3 hours. An alignment is required after installation. Working on the same car? We also list Ball Joint Boot Kit and Transmission Mount Bushing Kit for the Monte Carlo.
Features
- Self-lubricating: The bushing carries its own grease supply in internal reservoirs, so it keeps moving freely.
- Grease: Supplied with molybdenum disulfide grease for extended service life.
- Bushing material: Polyurethane bushings flex far less than rubber ones.
- Install guide: An install guide comes in the box.
- Bushing compound: The elastomer formulation is chosen to shrug off oil, grease, ozone, and the elements.
- Easy to fit: Made with the installer in mind, so it goes in without special equipment.
