This Whiteline Front Transmission Mount Bushing Kit fits the 1983-1986 Mercury Marquis. Whiteline part number: W93471. In the box: 1 bushing, 2 bolts, 6 washers, and an install guide. This part is for the front of the vehicle.
Gearbox mount bushings are an easy place for slack to build up. When the rubber compresses or splits, the transmission drops and moves under load, which can strain the driveline. Replacing it keeps the box located where it was designed to sit. Polyurethane resists deflection far better than the soft rubber it replaces.
Expect a moderate job of about 1 hour. A wheel alignment is not required.
