Product Details
This Whiteline Front Sway Bar Link Bushing Kit fits the 1987-1991 GMC V1500 Suburban (GMT400). Included: 6 bushings, 2 tubes, grease, and an install guide. It goes on the front of the vehicle. Order it as part number W23812. Drivetrain: 4WD. The chassis code on the listing is GMT400.
A sway bar link has a bushing at each end where it connects to the bar and the suspension, and those bushings let the link pivot. When they are soft or worn, the bar takes up slack before it begins resisting body roll, which feels like a delay in turn-in and shows up as clunking. Replacing them restores a firm connection.
Expect a moderate job of about 1 hour. A wheel alignment is not required.
Features
- Self-lubricating: Grease reservoirs inside the bushing feed lubrication as it moves.
- Bushing compound: A synthetic elastomer compound resists oil, grease, ozone, and weathering.
- Grease: Supplied with molybdenum disulfide grease for extended service life.
- Install guide: Written install instructions are included with the part.
- Easy to fit: Made with the installer in mind, so it goes in without special equipment.
