Product Details
Here is the Whiteline Heavy Duty Blade Adjustable 27mm Front Sway Bar (Models w/ Strut Link Mount) for the 1998-1999 BMW 323i 3 Series (E36). It goes on the front of the vehicle. Included: 1 sway bar and 2 bushings. The part number is BBF38Z.
A sway bar is a torsion spring that links the left and right wheels. When the body leans, the bar twists and resists, which keeps the car flatter and spreads load more evenly across the tires. In general, a stiffer front bar reduces roll and helps the nose stay planted, with a tendency toward understeer if it is overdone. The bar is adjustable, so the stiffness can be changed to suit the car and the road.
Installation is rated moderate, with about 1.5 hours of work listed. A wheel alignment is not required. Working on the same car? We also list Front Control Arm Lower Inner Rear Bushing, Front Strut Tower Brace Quick Release Kit, and Rear Trailing Arm Lower Front Bushing for the 323i 3 Series.
