Braking pushes the wheel rearward, and that load goes through the strut rod and its bushings. Rubber that has compressed lets the control arm move more than it should, so a firmer bushing keeps the arm located under braking. The polyurethane used here deflects much less than the original rubber under the same load.
Whiteline rates the install as moderate and lists about 2 hours. Plan on a wheel alignment afterward.
