Product Details
This Whiteline Front Strut Rod to Chassis Bushing Kit fits the 1968-1972 Plymouth Satellite. Part number W56426. In the box: 4 bushings, 2 tubes, and grease. Position: front.
A strut rod, sometimes called a radius rod, runs from the lower control arm to the chassis and keeps the arm from moving forward and backward. Its bushing takes the braking load, and soft or worn rubber lets the arm shift, which dulls braking and steering feel. The polyurethane used here deflects much less than the original rubber under the same load.
Installation is rated moderate, with about 1 hour of work listed. It does not require a wheel alignment. Working on the same car? We also list Front Sway Bar Link Kit and Front Bump Stop Bushing Kit for the Satellite.
Features
- Bushing compound: Oil, grease, ozone, and weather do not break down the synthetic elastomer used in the bushings.
- Bushing material: Polyurethane is firmer than the factory rubber, so it deflects less under load.
- Install guide: Step-by-step installation instructions come with it.
- Grease: Molybdenum disulfide grease comes with it for a longer service life.
- Self-lubricating: The bushing carries its own grease supply in internal reservoirs, so it keeps moving freely.
