This Whiteline Front Steering Rack and Pinion Mount Bushing Kit fits the 1996-2000 Toyota RAV4. Order it as part number W13396. Placement: front. The kit contains 3 bushings and 1 tube.
The steering rack is held to the chassis by bushings, and every input you make at the wheel passes through them. Rubber ones soften with age and can be degraded further by oil leaks, so the rack is allowed to shift under load and the steering feels less precise. A firmer rack mount bushing reduces that movement.
