This Whiteline Front Lower Shock Absorber Bushing Kit fits the 1984-1991 Jeep Grand Wagoneer (SJ). In the box: 4 bushings. Chassis code: SJ. Position: front. The part number is W31469.
A shock absorber is mounted through bushings at its ends. When the rubber is worn, the shock can move or knock in its mount, and its damping force is not delivered cleanly to the suspension. New bushings keep the shock located. Polyurethane resists deflection far better than the soft rubber it replaces.
Installation is rated easy, with about 1 hour of work listed. Plan on a wheel alignment afterward.
