Product Details

This Whiteline Front Lower Inner Rear Control Arm Bushing Kit fits the 1991-1999 Mercury Tracer. It goes on the front of the vehicle. You receive 2 bushings and 2 tubes. Whiteline part number: W51263.

Bushings work out of sight, but they decide how well a suspension holds its geometry. A soft or tired control arm bushing allows play that shows up as vague steering, a wandering feel under braking, or a clunk over bumps. Fitting a firmer one takes that slack out. The polyurethane used here deflects much less than the original rubber under the same load.

Expect a difficult job of about 2.5 hours. Plan on a wheel alignment afterward. Working on the same car? We also list Front Sway Bar Washer Kit, Front Sway Bar Link Bushing (21mm OD), and Rear Suspension Trailing Arm Bushing for the Tracer.

Features

  • Grease: Molybdenum disulfide grease comes with it for a longer service life.
  • Easy to fit: Designed for an easy install with ordinary shop equipment.
  • Self-lubricating: The bushing carries its own grease supply in internal reservoirs, so it keeps moving freely.
  • Install guide: An install guide comes in the box.
  • Material: Built from polyurethane.
  • Bushing compound: The elastomer formulation is chosen to shrug off oil, grease, ozone, and the elements.
