This Whiteline Front Lower Inner Control Arm Bushing Kit fits the 1998-2000 Lexus GS400. Placement: front. The part number is W53643. Whiteline's note for this fit: Fits inner position of the front forward lower (#1) control arm. Included: 4 bushings and 2 tubes.
Every time the wheel moves, the control arm swings on its bushings. When they are soft or worn, the arm shifts under load, the alignment changes as the car moves, and steering and braking feel less precise. A stiffer bushing cuts that unwanted movement while still letting the arm pivot freely. The polyurethane used here deflects much less than the original rubber under the same load.
