This Whiteline Front Inner Control Arm Bushing Kit fits the 1993-1998 Toyota T100. Included: 8 bushings and 4 tubes. The part number is W53646. It goes on the front of the vehicle. Application note: OEM outer bushing shell must be retained and re-used.
A control arm bushing is the pivot where the arm joins the chassis or the wheel carrier. Factory rubber is chosen for quiet and comfort, so it squashes under braking, acceleration, and cornering and lets the arm move more than it should. A firmer replacement keeps the arm where it belongs, which steadies the alignment and gives the car a more consistent feel. Polyurethane resists deflection far better than the soft rubber it replaces.
Expect a moderate job of about 4 hours. Get the car aligned once it is back on the ground.
