Fitted to the 2012-2014 Volkswagen Passat (NMS): the Whiteline Front Engine Mount. You receive 1 insert bushing, 2 washers, an install guide, and grease. Whiteline part number: KDT968. It goes on the front of the vehicle. Whiteline's note for this fit: Inserts: check voiding of OEM bushings first, installs into voiding of original bushings.
Engine mounts hold the engine in the chassis while absorbing vibration. When the rubber softens, the engine rocks under hard acceleration and when you lift off, and you may feel shudders, clunks, or a vague throttle. A new mount restores a solid hold. The polyurethane used here deflects much less than the original rubber under the same load.
