Product Details

For the 2009 Volkswagen Bora Sportwagen (1K), Whiteline makes the Front Engine Mount. Whiteline's note for this fit: Inserts: check voiding of OEM bushings first, installs into voiding of original bushings. In the box: 1 insert bushing, 2 washers, an install guide, and grease. The listing names the Sportwagen trim. Position: front. Order it as part number KDT968.

An engine moves on its mounts every time the throttle opens or closes. The less it can move, the more directly the power goes to the wheels and the less strain the hoses, wiring, and driveline take. A fresh mount cuts that movement. Polyurethane resists deflection far better than the soft rubber it replaces.

Expect a moderate job of about 2 hours. A wheel alignment is not required.

Features

  • Easy to fit: Made with the installer in mind, so it goes in without special equipment.
  • Grease: Supplied with molybdenum disulfide grease for extended service life.
  • Bushing material: Polyurethane is firmer than the factory rubber, so it deflects less under load.
  • Bushing compound: The elastomer formulation is chosen to shrug off oil, grease, ozone, and the elements.
  • Corrosion protection: Rust protection comes from plating on the metal parts.
  • Insert design: Designed to be used with the factory bushing left in place.
