Product Details
The Whiteline Front Engine Mount fits the 2009-2010 Volkswagen CC VR6, VR6 Sport. The part number is KDT968. It is listed for the 3C chassis. In the box: 1 insert bushing, 2 washers, an install guide, and grease. Trims named on the listing: VR6 and VR6 Sport. This part is for the front of the vehicle. Whiteline's note for this fit: Inserts: check voiding of OEM bushings first, installs into voiding of original bushings.
Engine mounts hold the engine in the chassis while absorbing vibration. When the rubber softens, the engine rocks under hard acceleration and when you lift off, and you may feel shudders, clunks, or a vague throttle. A new mount restores a solid hold. The polyurethane used here deflects much less than the original rubber under the same load.
Expect a moderate job of about 2 hours. It does not require a wheel alignment. To go with it on the Volkswagen CC, see Adjustable Rear Sway Bar Link, Adjustable Front Sway Bar Link, and Front and Rear Sway Bar Kit.
Features
- Corrosion protection: The hardware is plated to stand up to road conditions.
- Insert design: The inserts work with the original factory bushing instead of replacing it.
- Easy to fit: Designed for an easy install with ordinary shop equipment.
- Bushing compound: The elastomer formulation is chosen to shrug off oil, grease, ozone, and the elements.
- Bushing material: The bushing material is polyurethane, a firmer choice than rubber.
- Grease: Moly grease is supplied to prolong the life of the parts.
