This Whiteline Front Control Arm Lower Inner Rear Bushing (60.3mm OD Incl. Housing) fits the 2001-2006 BMW 330xi 3 Series. It goes on the front of the vehicle. Order it as part number W53518. Application note: Includes new housing. In the box: 2 housings.
A control arm bushing is the pivot where the arm joins the chassis or the wheel carrier. Factory rubber is chosen for quiet and comfort, so it squashes under braking, acceleration, and cornering and lets the arm move more than it should. A firmer replacement keeps the arm where it belongs, which steadies the alignment and gives the car a more consistent feel. Polyurethane resists deflection far better than the soft rubber it replaces.
