Whiteline built the Front Strut Tower Brace for the 1998-2002 Subaru Forester Base, L, S (SF/SG). Application note: Mid Mount. Trims named on the listing: Base, L, and S. This part is for the front of the vehicle. Included: 1 strut brace and 6 washers. The part number is KSB550.
Body panels flex slightly under load, and in a corner the tops of the front struts move toward and away from each other. This brace spans that gap, which stiffens the front of the chassis and lets the suspension do its job with fewer unwanted changes in geometry.
