The Bilstein MDS shock absorber is specified by dimension rather than by vehicle. It is the part you reach for when the build does not match a catalog application and you need a damper sized to the car you actually have.
The monotube design is what separates these. A single high-pressure gas chamber keeps the oil from aerating, so damping stays consistent as the unit heats up instead of fading away.
