At 28.5 in. collapsed: The Bilstein M 9200 shock absorber is a universal-fit part, chosen on collapsed and extended length rather than a year-make-model lookup. Fabricators, restorers, and race teams buy these to suit a custom setup.

Built in Germany to the standard that made the name, and backed by Bilstein's limited lifetime warranty. Consistency is the point: a damper that behaves the same on the tenth lap as the first.
