At 19.5 in. collapsed: The Bilstein M 9200 shock absorber is a universal-fit part, chosen on collapsed and extended length rather than a year-make-model lookup. Fabricators, restorers, and race teams buy these to suit a custom setup.

The monotube design is what separates these. A single high-pressure gas chamber keeps the oil from aerating, so damping stays consistent as the unit heats up instead of fading away.
