The HKS Suspension Error Canceler (SEC) for the 2017-2021 Honda Civic Type R (FK8) eliminates the adaptive suspension fault code that the Honda Civic Type R throws when you install aftermarket coilovers or shocks in place of the factory electronically-controlled dampers. Without the HKS SEC, removing the stock adaptive dampers triggers a dash-light warning and can illuminate traction control, ABS, and powertrain error messages — the SEC plugs in line and keeps the vehicle ECU happy.
Direct plug-and-play installation, no wiring modifications required, and fully reversible. Required when installing most aftermarket coilovers (including non-HKS brands) on the Honda Civic Type R. Made in Japan by HKS.
