Bilstein B6 shocks are the upgrade for a 1975-1989 Volvo 245 (P1) that feels soft rather than broken. They keep the OE springs and ride height and simply take the slop out of how the car moves.
The B6 Performance is a performance upgrade over the factory damper that works with the factory springs. Valving is set for each application, and every damper is tested to meet or exceed original equipment standards.
The monotube design is what sets Bilstein apart. A single high-pressure gas chamber keeps the oil from aerating, so the damping stays consistent on a rough road instead of fading as the unit heats up.
