Whiteline Heavy Duty Blade Adjustable 24mm Rear Sway Bar for 2008 Saturn Astra XE, XR (A04)

Product Details

This Whiteline Heavy Duty Blade Adjustable 24mm Rear Sway Bar fits the 2008 Saturn Astra XE, XR (A04). This part is for the rear of the vehicle. Whiteline's note for this fit: 4 Point Adjustable. Trims named on the listing: XE and XR. The kit contains 1 sway bar, 2 links, 2 bushings, 2 saddles, 4 brackets, 2 lateral locks, 6 bolts, 16 washers, and 10 nuts. Order it as part number BHR75Z.

A sway bar is a torsion spring that links the left and right wheels. When the body leans, the bar twists and resists, which keeps the car flatter and spreads load more evenly across the tires. In general, a stiffer rear bar helps the tail rotate and reduces understeer. The bar is adjustable, so the stiffness can be changed to suit the car and the road.

Whiteline rates the install as moderate and lists about 2 hours. No alignment is needed afterward. Other Whiteline parts we list for the Astra: Adjustable Front Sway Bar Link, 12mm Adjustable Front Camber Bolts, and Front Lower Inner Rear Control Arm Bushing Kit.

Features

• Lateral locks: Lateral locks keep the bar centered under cornering load.
• Install guide: Step-by-step installation instructions come with it.
• Adjustable stiffness: Multiple mounting holes let you tune bar stiffness.
• Bushing material: Polyurethane bushings flex far less than rubber ones.
• Corrosion protection: The hardware is plated to stand up to road conditions.
• Forged ends: Forged ends add strength at the point where the bar connects to the link.
