This Whiteline Front Upper and Lower Control Arm Bushing Kit fits the 1974-1979 Pontiac Firebird. You receive 8 shell bushings, 8 tubes, and grease. Placement: front. Whiteline part number: W56430.
Every time the wheel moves, the control arm swings on its bushings. When they are soft or worn, the arm shifts under load, the alignment changes as the car moves, and steering and braking feel less precise. A stiffer bushing cuts that unwanted movement while still letting the arm pivot freely. The polyurethane used here deflects much less than the original rubber under the same load.
