The Bilstein B8 shocks are built for a 2011-2015 Jeep Grand Cherokee that has been lifted or leveled, valved for the taller ride height rather than fighting it.
Inside is Bilstein's monotube design, with the gas and oil separated by a floating piston. That keeps damping consistent when the road turns rough and the unit gets hot, where a lesser damper would go soft.
